Whitney Alder

The Whitney Collection features float frames handcrafted with expert craftsmanship, and have a little thicker profile which allows your painting to have more substance and weight. Alder wood bears more of a medium brown with warm, earthy tones. We find that this frame exudes a natural, inviting charm, and its simple yet timeless design complements a variety of artwork styles and color palettes.  The Whitney Alder unfinished frames have no lacquer, but features the softer organic surface of the natural wood.

Wood Style: Because of the unique characteristics that wood has, each frame is truly an original. The Knotty Alder incorporates knots and prominent dark grain details, giving an organic and rustic look.  For those wanting a more streamlined or modern style, the Superior Alder eliminates any of those knotty features stated previously, and provides a cleaner, more solid pattern.  

Dimensions: The Whitney Frame has an overall depth of 1 1/2", and accommodates panels up to 1 1/4" deep.  Please indicate the panel's depth in the notes at checkout, as we customize the dimensions to make a perfect fit for your artwork.  If your panel depth is greater than 1 1/4", consider using the Shari frame, which has the same style as the Whitney frames, but is 2 1/2" deep overall and supports deeper panels.
