MDF Panel 1/4" thickness

Our MDF panels are ¼” thick and are ideal for both indoor and outdoor painting projects. The surface of our MDF panels is very smooth and easy to paint on. It is also unmarred by knots that are commonly found in different types of wood.   

*For outdoor painting surfaces, we recommend applying primer and gesso prior to painting, making the MDF resilient to temperature fluctuations and moisture, which prevents it from expanding or contracting as natural wood does. 

Framing Recommendation:

Frames with a traditional mount: MDF panels of any size fits securely with any traditionally mounted frame.  This style of frame displays the artwork by it being placed directly behind the wood, covering 1/4" of the outside edge of the canvas.

Frames with a float mount: If using MDF in a floater frame, we recommend a strong adhesive or the MDF cradled panel option.
