Cradled Hardboard Panel

Our cradled hardboard panel offers the same exceptionally smooth painting surface that hardboard offers, with the added feature of a cradled panel. Hardboard has a higher density than more lightweight panels we offer, and can be used with or without gesso, depending on your preference for your desired surface.  Artists often choose this material because of its lower cost, while still providing a sturdy surface that reduces the likelihood of paint cracking as it dries and ages. 

Select your cradled panel depth from options of 1 1/2" or 2".  If you prefer a different depth than what we offer, please specify in the checkout notes, and we will customize it to your desired dimensions.

Framing Recommendation:

Floated Frames: Our Allison and Whitney frames give a timeless finished look, and can be used with all of our cradled panels.
